Exclamation speedometer

what would cause the speedometer in my 99 civic to all of a sudden stop working. First it was doing the thing where it jumps around then stoped working and check engine light came on and I checked the fuses and replaced them and the light went off but the speedometer still won't work. what may cause this and what can I do to fix this problem, thanks.

no indiglos my man, would never do that to my car. There was no code, just came on then went off after I replaced the fuses that were blown.

check the connection at the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) a buddy of mine had the same problem in his ITR swapped 99 civic and there was a corroded (sp?) pin at the connector and it made his speedo jump. Check the eletrical connection and if all checks out ok, check the mechanical portion of the VSS. Hope this helps
