ok so heres the situation. speedo doesn't work. checked speed sensor. pulled it out. found out there was some needle missing from the tranny/sensor. found it put it back in. still no good. took my brothers speed sensor from his 2000 gsr teg and put in on my ls tranny... still does not work. what else could it be if the speed sensor is fine.

 

check the plug see if it corroded thats what happened to mine and no speedo

 

it is corroded. we noticed that when we took of the sensor.

 

cut and rewire and problem gone i did it and it fixed mine(bad signal)

 

the plug is corroded but like brother said, Where are we going to get a new or uncorroded plug?

 

Your problem is def. a wiring problem. You either have a cut wire, or a short. Just take it all out and re-wire the sensor into your ECU from scratch.

 

we still need an uncorroded plug. or a new one.

when i went to uwrenchit all i saw were cars 1990 and below.. can i use the same plug they use?

 

it all depends on the part number man. Call up Honda or Acura and see if you can get the part number for what you need, and then go and snag it up. It could be the same part. Or, you could look for someone parting their car.
