Default Speedo problem

I have a 1995 civic ex with an auto tranny. Some days the speedo works other times it doesnt. I can be driving and it will go out then come back on. Any idea of what could be causing this to happen??

Bobby, it's the speed sensor. More than likely you need to replace the electrical portion of the speed sensor to correct the problem. It is also possible that the connector has water or coolant in it causing a bad connection. Unplug it and check out the pins to make sure that there is no corrosion or dried coolant on the pins.
