are there any real differences between the 97 and 00 b18b motors and would it be a quicker motor if i get an obd 1 over an obd II

 

no diff. between the 97 and 00 really. just the 00 is probably going to have less miles on it. between obd1 and obd2 neither is really going to be faster than the other. the obd of the swap you want to get is usually determined by the chassis you want to put it in...

i thought i actually read some where that the obd1 motor does actually have 10 hp over the obd2 motor,but idont think its actually the motor, i think its the car, and the systemit uses, obd2=stricter standards.......but if your using an obd 2 motor in an obd 1 car, it will be exactly the same......

 

im using obd II with an obd II ecu and a 97 civic
