Default skunk2 intake manifold

Ok i just installed my skunk2 manifold and the results were irritating. Its slower in low and mid range, but picks up around 5000 and I have to shift at 7k, Its a B18a1 with crower cams, why didnt this make a change for the best? I know you should do more mods with the manifold as throttle body, injectors, and fuel rail. But wouldnt you think it would help anyway? Thanks for any help.

Dude honestly i dont know much about the b18a1 but i was doing alot of reading on the b16a1 & a2 and every intake mani they put on it dropped the Hp and Trq. They tried everything from the Skunk2 , venom, str, and J&G edelbrock and all of them dropped the hp my suggestion would to keep your stock one and get a bigger throttle body or go that extra mile and bore it out a bit but thats all i can tell ya. Sorry if i wasnt any help.

Stock exhaust manifold, Crower Intake Advertised lift 434 Duration 291 Exhaust Cam is slightly different, very slight. Skunk2 adjustable cam gears, Titanium valve springs and retainers. Stock throttle body, stock injectors and fuel rail. It lost bottom end power and it feels the same as before at about 5000 and up. Planning on turbo soon. But would like some more power right now. Whats up with it. I was hoping for a little increase.

sorry to hear that man, i had a helluva time getting this manifold gasket today and it didint do what i wanted it to. Its not tuned at all, what exactly could someone "Tune". B&M adjustable fuel regulator aslo. HELP!!!!!!! I know this is gonna sound ricer as hell, but they said Stage 3 Camshafts. thats not why i bought em believe me. How bad is this exhaust manifold hurting me?? well i was at the dyno at J&J. It said i was putting 129 to the wheels. thats not what i thought it was gonna be. Dude you are putting down that little power with that much done. no offense, just cant believe it.

well, in addition to having nice flow on the intake side and having the exhaust side choke you to death, your compression is leaving lots of power to be desired. toss in some itr/ctr/jdm gsr pistons and you should feel a nice change. but definately get a header
