Rim and Suspension Questions??
so simple to work on. Thanks for all the input guys, but I think its trail and error time!
Dude.... trust me on this.... stay on a +40 or 42 offset 15's or 16's. Your 96 civic hatch will be fine.
Yes, if your tires get too close to the outer edge of the fender well, it will get shreded like what mine did on a pair of 3 month old Nitto tires..... was lowered with a set of +38 offset rims. I had a 99 civic. Dont refer too much with these EF/CRX pics. Their suspension radius and fender well room/width is not the same as the 6th gens....

I can't see the picture...but if you want to do a low offset go on hondatech and ask the guys in the low offset wheel section. FWD cars CAN pull off wide wheels with low offsets, but they can fail horribly at it as well, so ask people who aren't afraid of pulling their fenders and beating out their inner fender wells. IMO Jarrod's suggestion of wheel size would be more aggressive then most people run (7.5J +35), however on a 96 hatch with a fender roller you can do a +25 with a smaller tire. If you reallly want to run an 8 wide you'll need to run somewhere around a +35 for the equivelent 7.5 +20->25...but you're going to run into issues with rubbing your wheel well the larger the wheel you go.
Cliff notes: Use what Jarrod said, or get a fender roller and hammer and run some 16X7.5 +20 or 25s with a 195/45/16 and SLAM IT.

Can someone clear me up if I am wrong/misinformed.
-So if I ran 15x7 +40 offset, its going to stick out of the fender further than are wheel setup like 15x7 +15 offset?
-If i run 7 inch tire, instead of 8 inch. If I am looking to get the wheel to meet the fender, would I run a higher offset (like 35) or lower (like 15)?
Okay so lower the offset number, the further it will stick out? I am very sorry, If I am completely missing everything, I just want to make sure I understand before I go and order some rims.
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.
