swap in another. do you really plan on keeping that car for another 10+ years (that is, travelling 15k miles a year)?

may be going to med school so need a car and at around 30-40 grand a year depending on what school, may need to keep my car for quite awhile. probably cheaper to swap in another engine instead of rebuilding the one i got anyways.

if you do the work yourself and/or know someone who can help you for cheap, you can probably swap in 5 d-series motors for the price of 1 solid rebuild. them things are cheap.

rebuilding an engine is always worth it. If you know what your doing that is.

BTW, Why do you need a rebuild or a new motor?

If you decide to rebuild the engine, take no short cuts. Longest part about a rebuild is checking parts to make sure they are still in spec for reuse and the cleaning of parts.

Also in break in, make sure you take "Correct" steps to break it in. If you fail to do this rings and bearings will fail premature. This part is important because it will determain how strong the motor will be and long-jevity.(sp)

But back to the question, why do you need a rebuild?
