Default question bout d16y8 running lean???

hi I'm in need of some help b/c I'm scratching my head on this one? I have a 92 hatch with a D16Y8 vtec motor in it and it runs like shit.... Here are the symptoms,
1.spark plugs are (white)
2.when at idle it runs rough & misses a little
3.sputters when gaining speed not bad though
4.when riding in lets say first gear for a while without shifting I get a check engine light.
The code the check engine light is throwing is for o2 content, I've replaced the o2 sensor still same thing and is running very lean? Please someone help me out here thanks.

LOL your in harrisonburg i was wondering when i was goina see a member located there. Every weekend when i go to see my girl at JMU i always see some nice honda's/acura's ...this sounds like a fuel supply issue? when is the lasttime you fuel filter was changed? maybe the screens on your injectors are clogged/dirty .. but yah i'd check the O2 sensor wiring also. do you have a fuel preasure regulator or anything like that?

hey man you sound like you know what your talking about on one of your trips to hburg do you think you could help me out? I work at anthony's pizza...anyways I just changed the fuel filter trying to trouble shoot the issue, I blocked off the hose coming off the throttle body going to the fuel preasure regulator to bump the psi and it does seem to run better and not miss as much but still burns a little lean?
