Which engine? Are you trying to put a 99 B16 in?

the cars a 98 civic lx and i'm trying to put a 99 cx motor/ecu/wiring harness in. i don't have the 98 ecu or harness because the car used to have a b16 obd 1 motor/harness/ecu. Also, when i first put the 99 motor/harness/ecu in it started right up, but after a couple of days it just died. the fuel pump doesn't come on when i turn the key. I think the ecu must have died or something. I checked every fuse in the car (dash&under hood) and they are all ok. I had to cut and splice the wires that come from the car to the ecu harness under the dash, but there were some wires that did not match up. I thought it was fine since the car ran good for a while.
