OBD2a and OBD2b
I have a 98 LS and a 99 LS ecu that came with the swap. Is there anyway that the 2b ecu will work

Nope won't work. 2a and 2b use diferent plugs. 2a has 2 rectangle plugs and a small square one, 2b has 3 rectangle ones.

The answer is yes, you just need to spend $50-75 and get an OBD2a to OBD2b adapter harness.
