Default Not exactly sure of the problem. HELP!

When I turn my car off sometimes, there is still a humming sound coming from somewhere near the front. I would say it sounds like a fan, but I don't know that much. Well usually it stops after a bit, but I came out this morning and it was still going and my cars dead. Any idea what this might be?

Thanks much.

First, I would turn your car on and let it get up to normal operating temp. Pop the hood and cut the car off. If your fan is still running you will be able to see it. If its not the fan, then I'm not sure what could be still running.

I remember in my old hatch back, I had the fan wired to a switch. And I let the fan run while I was in class and came out and the car was dead.

So you left the car overnight and it was still making a noise but the battery was dead? I can't think that would be the fan, because that should have drained the battery within a couple of hours. Well, that's assuming that it's on all the time and isn't some sort of intermittent problem that turns on and off at random times. Very unlikely but still possible.

It's possible that something in your gauge cluster is bad, and electronics can scream or hum when they're going bad, but that would be very easy to see by just walking around the car tracking the sound.

Well my brother said he heard it when he got home from school, which would be around 1. I left the car last night around 11. So I'm really not sure.
