nitrous use/ or cheap turbo kit
how would a stock d series engine hold up to a 75 shot of nitrous.
is it depending on how much i spray or what?
or should i peice together a turbo kit for cheap? and about how much would that cost?

josh how'd you go from a lightning to a d series? do a b series swap or somethin man... lol
that said, i don't know how much a stock d series can take, but things like colder plugs, say 2 degrees of retard, and if you're really worried a bigger fuel pump are things you can do to help make sure it won't break down on you. and 93octane is a must with nitrous. IMO a wet kit is better because it decreases the chances of running lean & detonating, but a lot of people like dry kits for single nozzle systems

upgrade the fuel pump and get 310cc injectors and you can spray the fuck out of it. a d16z6 w/ a 75 shot will rape the fuck out of a b16 w/ bolt ons too just to let everyone know who is talking shit...and its a lot cheaper

IMO there's no such thing as a "cheap turbo kit" you always pay down the road when you boost no matter what setup you're running but its also worth it

Re: nitrous use/ or cheap turbo kit
yea, and what car did u get a turbo kit for 800 bucks for? and what do u consider a kit? IMO....a turbo kit consists of a turbo, manifold, bov, wastegate, boost controller, intercooler, ic piping, new injectors, fuel pump, fuel rail, and a fpr...along with guages and some sort of fuel controller (afc, hondata etc.).....now if u can find that for 800 bucks (legit) then wow....but u wont there is no such thing as a cheap turbo kit....because if u wanted to cut an edge and get an old volvo intercooler and install it on your car, thats cool, but if u decide u want to get a bigger intercooler later, which would be a good idea, then u will need to re-do all of the intercooler piping(which includes purchasing more pipe) and buy a new intercooler...it is cheaper to do it right the first time and it is NOT in any way cheap!
