Never used it......but GM has some sealant I have used for 9+ years, and it is awesome.
Got the VCG, plugs, and wires done in about 20 minutes. Definitely needed some silicon to hold the gasket into the VC......glad I brought it.

it's not going to mess it up unless you are being stupid. A light tap with rubber hammer or back of a screw driver is going to mess it up. Yes if you sit there and jam it in there, but I hope the OP is not that dumb.

I see a mistake in your post that makes it look like you are agreeing with me, but i'll let it be.
And why risk it? why not just pull if all you need is a light tap with a hammer?

Just wondering why did you use silicon to hold the gasket on your VC, I've changed a few VC gaskets and I've NEVER used silicon to hold it together.
