Def. Limp mode. Check what code is being thrown. My friend had a gsr swapped 91 hatch and that bitch wouldn't rev past 3500, It would just bounce as if it was 2 stepping. Checking all wiring and double check to see if the wires at the ecu are correct.

when mine did it i couldnt get past 3200ish. It's a learning opportunity that places alot of stress on the transmission.

 

thanks for all input, i will be checking all this over the weekend.. dont have much time to work on it during the week......and if i cant figure it out i will just take it to our local honda specialst and pay out the ass

 

Try another dizzy, more than likely your problem.

 

yea got a spare one im goin to check out....

im going to try another ecu as well....it has a chipped b16 ecu with no rev limiter on it...so i dunno

 

make sure cuz it sounds to me like the ecu might be in "safety" mode(or whatever its called), which if so , doesnt go above 3500 rpms

 

could also be fuel pump, on a hot day does it ever sputter then die....for a while?

 

Its limp mode, omg!!!!! You dont have any cells you say? If so swap ecus, because this "chipped ecu" might be your problem.

 

ok so its in safe mode..... didnt have a chance to hook up different ecu...its not the chipped b16 one i was told was in there its a pr4. cel is on....need to take it to the shop to hook it up to see which codes........

i tried everything else....different dizzy, different sensors...just basically spent most of my weekend being pissed off about it

 

Check the sevice manual for the firing order , make sure you have the plug wires in the right order. I've had this happen to me b4 , I belive mine was a vacume line , I can't remember but I know I was something really dumb. Could be something like a loose wire connector.
