make sure all vac and input lines are connected. did it run for the po?

 

no vibrations........when i hit 3500 it just sputters and backfires but wont go above 3500.........po got tired of tryin to firgure it out so he sold it to me cheap lol

 

ground wire, guranteed. just cant fucking remember which one.

 

i dont know much about honda motors. but i would check the timing and wires and plugs.
or a wiring problem

 

yea i was going to check timing this weekend, , just put new plugs and wires

 

Any CELs? 3500 RPM is suspiciously close to the limp home mode default RPM...

 

What kind of crx? ( dx, si, hf) If is was a dx then when whom ever swapped may have not wired the crank angle sensor correctly. If the person wired it wrong it revs to just about 3500 and breaks up just like you said your car is doing. I would recheck all the wiring. Also what ecu are you on currently?

 

check all injector plugs, spark plugs wires etc to make sure its not running on only 3 cyl

 

ive had this happen b4. i believe its the crank angle sensor. change your dizzy
