aight i jus got back from the races. and i was bored so i decided to do a lil tune up work to my car. i was jus gonna djust valves and mess with the distrib timing. as i am removing the spark plug wires i see they are covered in oil then as i look at the spark plugs them selves they are surrounding in a huge ass puddle of oil all of them. i know its not head gasket cuase the car is still runnin strong. do i need to change the valve cover gaskets??????????? or what?? and another thing if the AIC valve went bed and i was constantly idolin at high revs like 2700 to 3500 would that effect my redline??????? and what is a 90-91 LS redline supposed to be??????

 

i would guess its the valve cover gasket... aint but like 20 bucks... and is easy to put on... if you get the valve cover gasket kit.... you can replace the o rings too..

no to the redline question, it only affects idle. the gaskets are the four round ones that are under the valve cover.

 

could it be doing that cuase im missin 2 grommets for the valve cover and its not gettin a complete seal?????

 

which grommets are you referring to?

just put a valve cover on it and change your plugs. couldn't hurt anything.

 

i already got new spark plugs in it but the lil rubber/metal grommets that hold the actual valve cover down.

 

can u adjust the iac valve?????
