Max boost D-series can Handle?
you'll be fine for a while. but if you beat the shit out it, stuff's gonna break. chances are you'll probably blow the head gasket before you blow anything else, and when you do that you run the risk of block and head damage. rebuild the bottom end, put a nice thick mr. gasket on it, and some arp head bolts to hold it all together. and as far as the motor is concerned, you should be good.
I HAVE A D16Y8 AND IM RUNNING LIKE 13-14 LBS OF BOOST AND THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE RAN INTO IS THE TURBO GOING BAD CAUSE THE BOOST IS MAXING OUT THE GREDDY TURBO CANT HANDLE SHIT UPGRADING SOON
sk8rmike i agree with you, but my theory was not beating the piss out of it. over time it'll wear the head gasket out, but if you go flying down the 1/4 mile often, a rod will probably go quick. i'd rather rebuild it than keep changing motors.
