at 10psi you are playing with fire...just build the block. you play around with boost and you will be getting antoher motor even though d series motors cost like 2-300 bucks..so forget just turn up the boost to 15psi and if it blows get another one..

hehe, if anybody wants to answer my question..i have a similar one...what will my (d-series) block be able to hold with Benson (uses Darton) Sleeves, forged SRP pistons and forged Eagle Rods (H-beam)

and to throw in my opinion, i'd run 10 but like he said, its playing with fire...if you can do all the work of swappin blocks by yourself, then don worry about it, like he said, u can get one for $200

i have a friend that has been running 10 psi on his y8 for a while now. it's not necessarily a matter of how many psi you run, it's more about how much WHP you're making. on a stock bottom end, i wouldnt try making more than 200-210whp as a daily driver.
