Just bored out my ls1 block today
Hey, guys
Today i just got done boring my clynders out to 4.125'' on my ls1. It took me a few weeks to complete. Its very time consuming to break down every part of the engine and to take the pistons and crank out. But managed to do it with just a dremel and a bunch of other common garage tools. I have one pick right now, but ill have to put it all back together tommrow.
It should be around 387 cid with the the standard 3.622 stroke crankshaft, but it wasnt bored to exactly 4.125'' since i used a dremel, but it was pretty close. Ive sceduled some dyno time in 3 weeks, so ill post up some before and after dyno graphs.
Im also gonna post up a DIY for boring out your block in your own garage next week!! but i have to start installing the diamond pistons tommrow and getting the heads and crank back on the block.
heres a before pic with my old pistons, ill get some after pics tommrow morning. with the bore and my new diamond pistons.
