ive recently accuired a 93 integra and moved down to blacksburg for college. sometimes when i drive the car it goes through these spurts where everything just shuts off for like literally 1 sec and then comes back on, sometimes doing it more then once in a sitting. ive taken it to a shop and they said that there is no major problem with the car yet it continues to do it every so often. id hate to get rid of it for such a "minor" problem considering the car is in such good shape. just wondering if any other 93 integra owners have had this problem in the past. feedback appreciated.

 

Check battery, alternator and ECU?
No CEL?

 

battery and altenator are fine, didnt think to check the ECU. CEL??? sorry dont know what that stands for. thanks for the feedback.

Check the thermostat ground.

What all do you mean "shuts off" Lights, car its self, what?

Could be a main relay as well.

 

My car was doing the same thing. As hes driving it quits sparking and it being in gear eventually jumps it back. Mine was a combo of a bad Crank Angle Sensor and the Ignition Coil Fuse. Once the sensor was done it did it less then we saw that the Ign. Coil fuse was loose and got a thicker one and its perfect now.
