integra problem????
my check engine light came on when i was driving yesterday...my motor was shaking and sounded like a wrx..i check the code it said i cylinder 2 is missfire. What could be the problem. i already change the spark plugs. Still the same, and when i pulled the spark plug out, it was dark and wet. any clue?maybe bad head?
I would check to see if your getting spark from the wire. Get your hands on a wire tester, or if you can't, hold the end of the plug wire over the valve cover ground and see if it sparks. If you can determine that the wire is not sparking and you know you have a good wire, you can turn to the distributor. Check the cap, rotor, etc for anything obvious. If it's nothing like that, I hope your good with a DMM.

I see you said you tried a new plug and it was the same thing. If you have spark and the plug is still wet and smells like fuel I would next do a compression test.

umm, if the plug was dark and wet, it could be oil.
pull off your valve cover and replace your valve cover gasket, and spark plug tube seals. (they all come in the valvecover gasket kit)
take a small flash light and look down into each cylinder with the spark plugs out...you might have oil on top of your pistons wich would be causing the misfire.
take some kind of sucking apparatus to get the oil off the top of the pistons, put new spark plugs in, change your oil, and it should be fine.
but that is only if thre is oil on top of your pistons, if there isnt, then i dont know.
-replace valvecover gasket/tube seals
-replace spark plugs
-suck oil from onto of pistons
-replace all parts
-make sure everything is tight
-change oil
-good to go.
thats happened on every car i've ever owned.
