DJ Lip is an unknown quantity at this point

idle

when i accelerate my car starts to idle....in order for it to stop and have to lift the gas pedal.....Ford Escape 2001 V6...4WD.....any suggestions....i am not a mechanic....i looked under the hood....but unable to locate gas pedal spring......

i dont understand... what is it doing before you try to accelerate? idling? then just doesnt do anything?

before i accelerate it normal... After i accelerate it acts as if the throttle is still pushed in.....
