So woke up this morning to go to work,go out to start my car,and clunk.

I knew from the sound it wasnt good,so i popped my hood and saw this...........










My Skunk 2 stage 2 intake cam shaft decided to snap off where the cam gear bolts up.This is bull shit. Nothing at all was wrong with the car drove fine yesterday and all of last night.

Good thing my motor wasnt running or I would be looking at some very nice damage.


Hopefully Skunk 2 will do something for me.

 

Was that a Skunk2 Bolt that they provided, that broke?

If not I don't see them doing anything to help you, oh and those bolts are really fragile I broke mine when I was trying to take it off, and then again when I tried to put the cam gear back on.

 

looks like the backside of the cam gear to me. so the cam itself actully broke off just like the dude said.. That sucks ass Skunk2 better due something, how old are the cams?

 

franny had that happen to him once....he never tightened down the cam bolts all the way

YES the cam broke,the bolt is still in there.


Its shitty the cams are about 4 months old but I trashed the box's,if they dont not provided me with a new one or cut me a deal on one I will never honor another skunk 2 product. I could understand if I was making serious power and ragging the shit out of it but no. It broke on start up which is fu*king stupid.


Drove home perfectly from work and parked fine,not issues at all.
