Default Hydro-locked

I know this was covered before, my my car turns over so now what, how long do i wait?

ok, so the storm down there today cause me to suck up some water, and now the car obviously wont start.

I was at low RPM, crusiing, i was able to pull off and park in a neighborhood.

Tried turning it over once, then stopped, pulled the plugs and turned the car over, no water came out. let it sit an hour and half and came back, put plugs in and turned it over a few times, nothing. Pulled plugs again, let sit, and came back an hour later, tried to restart and nothing.

all belts move, so that means the crank is moving.

How long should i let it try to dry out? Will some starting fluid in the cylinder work?

This is covered under comprehensive on your insurance if you have it. Cal your ins co. If its truly hydrlocked, ie.. bent or broken conecting rod, you will need a motor.

the same thing happened to me when i hydrolocked my d16z6 the first time. i had to crank it over alot initially to make sure the water was out. i put the plugs+wires back in, cranked and gave it gas...after about 10 sec she started sputtering. kept starting it while giving gas and she started up and idled really funny...just let it idle for awhile, itll burn the water off, and youll see alot of vapor come out of the exhaust. good luck.

i dont ahve comp insurance, i've only had the plugs out for about three hours tops, but the crank still turns obviously because the belts move, but i didn't notice any wanter actually comming out of the cylinderes when i cranked with out the plugs.

i'm gonna give it a try after work tonite. any other things to try.
