ok i just a buddy of mine just installed a new motor in the car (k20z1 block, with a k20a2 head) evry thing is hooked back up, and the car cranks but wont turn over!!! it turned over one time idled rough, and then it shut off! now after continuous tries, the car just cranks but doesnt start! can ANYONE please help!!!!

 

Details on troubleshooting you have done? Checked if your getting fuel and spark yet? Did it just die out the first time you started it or did you cut the key to turn it off? More info please.

 

getiing fuel getting spark, it just died! the car sat for about 2.5 months, idk if the gas would be bad after that time frame!

 

Try opening up the throttle when you crank it. Check TPS?

EDIT: Check timing, too.

 

yup we had the throttle wide open and nuthing, tps sensor seems a bit sketchy! it slides on but wont lock!!!! it looks to be sligthly damaged where it locks at

 

Change it.
