yeah, this project will nickel & dime you in to debt.
it only looks attractive on the surface.
better off saving up and looking for a either a zc or b16 for your crx.
may be sohc vtec - no 'h'.

true... if you have a lot of hookups (like, work in a junkyard) and are trying to save every penny you have, this is a decent swap. but a d16z6 or d16y8 long block costs about the same as just the head, since everyone wants to do minimes and nobody cares about the short block. so if you can find a head for $100 or so, you can find a full block for $150, convert the obd, and be far better off. hell, i wouldn't be surprised if you could pick up a full d16a6 swap for under $200, and then you won't be saddled with the HF tranny, which has about the longest gears in existence. i had an HF once that i swapped an Si tranny in, and it *almost* made the 62 hp bearable.

i agree with Imran Kifayat id jsut save and get a b series swap. i bought a single cam zc from noyan cause i thought it would be alright, tha motor runs fine and all that but by far not as quick as i anticipated. little more than tha stock si motor. do yourself a favor and get a b swap

Why dont you put an a6 complete head w/ intake mani and TB. Along w/ ECU from an SI. My friends HF ran 15.1 doing this (cuz he asked me the same thing your asking) The a6 (crx si) head is the better head of all the D's
BTW, he had i/h & weld on muffler.

Unless you want a full new engine, a d16y7 is pretty beast too (nonvtec).

Good Luck
