You shouldn't have too much of a problem finding someone that could take their ECU out and let you try it out. It's about a five minute job to take out an ECU. I don't know the scene in NJ but around here there are tons of people that would help you out.

the accord ecu will run the h22 somewhat safely upto about 5000 rpm. try it. how does it idle? is this a 96 or newer h22? you can adjust timing on the earlier ones and if it is off much, you will get what you are describing. btw, how long have you had a h22? they feel just like a f22 does until 5500 rpm. then they scream.

ya, the h22 runs highly rich as is.. and i THOUGHT the spoon chip was supposed to slightly lean it out?

and from your list of mods, your stock sept for the clutch/suspension. I have i/h/e and stock jdm ecu and i definetly dont feel any lag below 5500.. and why is your vtec crossover at 5500? mine hits at like 4900-5k'ish on the stock tach.

not sure what could cause it to do that... what is your exact setup?

btw, are you the guy i met at the autox w/ the h22 4th gen burgundy accord from NJ?

here is my exact setup:

short ram intake
DC headers
Greddy SP
no cat
Unorthodx racing clutch / fidanza flywheel
eibach springs
kyb agx
spoon chip

The reason I think my vtec kicks in at 5500rpm is because of the spoon chip.

Sorry crate, I've never met you before...

any help though is appreciated..
