Default h22 turbo questions

i have a prelude with the f22 non vtech and am planning on dropping in a h22.
my question is i want to turbo it and consitantly run about 10psi i know i ll have to lower the compresion and install a block gaurd and upgrade the valetrain. will i be able to run with the stock crank and will the factory sleeves handle the boost. also will a garratte t28srbb turbo be able to give the boost i want with out a lot of boost lag, and will this set up allow me to hit 300 to 350 hp safely?

The H22 is 10.0:1 compression so 10psi (no higher) on a T28 would be safe with a GOOD TUNE. You could do that on a stock block. And no you aren't going to get 300-350 whp. Not at 10psi. A garrett T3/T4 57 trim at 10psi should be able to get you close to 300whp w/ cams safely. But a T28 would probably only yield around 230-250 whp at 10psi. The 2.2 litre should spool a t3/t4 FAIRLY quick. But then again, it's not a B-Series.

1st- boosting a h22 is not the safest thing to do since the pistons are very great.
2nd. dont use a block gaurd on anything.
an last boost the f22. youd be better off. Im boosting right now a h22, only 7psi an no prob yet. jst not the best thing right now. also the crank will hold 800whp. i dont think you be there with stock block.

F series is way better for boost - period. If you are going to boost a motor boost the F22, they are iron sleeved stock. And have lower compression. My friend has a eclipse turbo kit on his F22 running Chrome and 8psi and is making 250whp/250ft/lbs - but he has forged pistons and head studs.
