Default ek=eg question

Ok this is the first ek hatch I have owned and I am not sure about this ONE thing.

Will eg suspension work on an ek? I know it is kind of stupid but I don't know so kiss my arss!

I don't think so. The rear shock mount is wider than the eg. I know that for sure.

Yes.

92-00 struts are all the same. You may need to switch the tophats, but I'm not sure.

I may need to switch the top hats? meaning the upper mount will have to be changed correct?

NO!!!!

tophats are the same.
Lower fork in the back is not. The EK lower fork is narrower, so if you use EG/DC shock on an EK you will need some spacers.

Fronts are identical except for the placement of the brake line brackets.

I was wondering that myself, so don't feel bad. I read on honda-tech the same 2 conflicting pieces of advice. I confirmed with a friend though the one about needing spacers on the rears if you use EG struts.
