as for putting a 4g63 motor swap.. it's cheaper to just buy a gst then the swap, same for putting a hanh stage 1 turbo kit to a GS.. which puts about 205-225 hp on the GS(about 3kish).. in contrast to the 4g63's base HP of 210. (You can find the motor for around $550)
If you have lots of money to spend.. I'd do the engine swap.. maybe even tranny swap.. that's very expensive though, GS are a lot lighter then the GST.. but at the very least shop around.. 9,900 is too much for a 96 GST. IMO
look up crankwalk before you buy anything.

There are differences between motors of the years 95-96, 97-98, and 99. 99 being the most superior when it comes to resisting crankwalk....what year is mine again?
