Default Distributor cap doesnt fit

Well I have the 96 jdm itr swap and yesterday I went to get the distributor cap and rotor for a 97 itr. Well I go to put the cap on and its too small. Is there a difference between the jdm and usdm distributors?

all jdm motors/distributors are like our obd1 stuff with cylinder position sensor in dist. , our obd2 stuff has a crank sensor under timing cover,
so assume one for a 93 gsr would fit..?

no. you need an actual gsr cap for 94-01. It is 3/8'' wider. Make sure you get a gsr and not an ls/b16 cap!

gsr cap didnt fit. I went to Bap geon and they said a 94 del sol cap is what I need for the jdm motor. It fit perfectly. Is there any disadvantages of using that on a b series??

as long as it fits, there would be no disadvantages.
