timing belt doesnt fit
me and a few friends decide to just take the y7 head and throw it onto the d15b1 bottom end, well after had droped the motor back in we noticed that the timing belt was oddly loose so went to both autozone and advance auto trying to find a 103 tooth(just because the 106 tooth that i purchased was about 3 teeth too loose)but no luck with that
so i was just wondering what there is to do,everything from the d15 and the d16 block line up and are the same size(water pump, pully, and the chain tensioners were swapt over
what to do what to do

Re: timing belt doesnt fit
well i know for a fact that the d15bi belt has 106 tooth and i was on the autozone store computer and this belt called cloyes that has 103 teeth which is exaclty what i need but they can not order it
i guess i will have no choice but to throw the d15 head back on and run off 2 cylinders again

Re: timing belt doesnt fit
well now we found a timing belt with 103 teeth its really tight but the tighter the better
now the motor is un the car running and haha its pootin and reving up and down, this did not happene when it was straight d15 with d15 head, now that it has the y7 head on it its making the noise and not sustaining a ideal idle
