There are people out there who believe it though..

Just check out the mass of people running around open wastegate with no dumptube running the gasses outside the car.

I seriously noticed a little bit of a power increase on my simple ass turbo setup. And all it took was my friend and his welding skills and a Gsx-R header to cut up. Haha.

This is what goiing from no dumptube to having a dumptube did for one of my customer's. All I did was have the dyno opperator hold a piece of 3" 90 degree bend piping up to the wastegate during the pulls(he was using gloves lol) and it picked up that power increase with no tuning changes.

damn, i need a dump tube. mine dumps right into the turbo...lol...and when i drove it with the hood off once...i felt the exhuast comin out that sob going past the window at like 800degrees..lol i know im killing power.

Excellent point. Ive seen quite a few people ride like that. Guess they dont know any better.

whats weird though is it made no noticable power difference on the street. I guess the air was somewhat being blown out of the engine bay when its on the street, but on the dyno its just sitting there. Still necessary though for tuning on the dyno and keeping your engine bay clean haha.
