i have a d16z6, ram intake, and an aem fuel rail. it idles at 2000 rpm, cold or hot, it always idles that high. anything i should check other then for air pockets in the coolant system? its the stock motor. i've already searched the forum for this, but they all ended up turning into pissing arguments and hating. so if someone could help with some useful info, thanks in advance.

 

idle set screw on the throttle body?


adjust it till you got the idle that you want?

 

intake mani leak?

 

vaccume leak?

 

taken your tps off latelym you could have a bad gasket, or no gasket at all..

if you dont have a gasket on the tps that would do it as well..as well as many other things

 

check all vacume lines
check injector seals
check intake manifold gasket
check Throttlebody gasket
check Idle Temp control mounted under Throttlebody
check Throttlebody plate to see if closeing correctly
check Throttlebody idle control screw
