i have a ek hatch with a d16y7 all stock motor just aem short ram intake. earlier this morning my check engine light came on. at a stop light or sign or just anywhere my car would take off hesitating on first and going into second gear. the clutch pedal isnt hard to depress and putting it into gear is not a problem. it start to happen everytime when i take off on 1st hesitates and same as 2nd. can anyone tell me what might be the problem?

Go somewhere and get the CEL read with an OBD2 reader, then report back with what you find.

Go to advance auto parts or autozone both places check obd2 engine lights for free with the tool. Then report back what it said as stated above.
