b18 bogging in 1st and 2nd
Ok, i just purchased a 93 civic hatch with a b18b in it.
I've driven a few of my friends modded hondas in the past, and ive always noticed they have a tiny bit of bogging/slugging @ lower rpm in 1st sometimes a lil in second, depending. but primarily i thought that a b18 would be pretty peppy as in the lower gears. but, i have a huge problem.
working the clutch and giving it plenty of gas can get it to act normal, almost. but if your trying to drive in a daily driving situation, it bogs so bad.
i've had my car compression tested, i dont know what the deal is?
it almost feels as if i'm running the car without a filter or something. it seems like it could be vacuum problem. i dunno. i'm going to take the car to a mechanic friend this sat. but i'd like to hear any suggestions you can give me. i appreciate it. thanx in advance.

yeah, you didnt have to tell me that, it's a honda. plus i know i've been driving it. my other car is a 240, so its a huge change as far as the power curve. thanx for the insight, but what do i expect from a supra-owner anyways... lol
j/j nice car!

set the ign. timing back to stock. probably your distributor is really retarded. if it bogs really bad in the lower rpm band...but picks up well in the higher rpms...it's timing like chahonda said.
