Well you want to get a z6 dizzy first off. Get the dizzy that goes with the head. Then you will want to go with the p28 ecu, which is the ecu for the z6, or use the stock p06 dx ecu and have someone convert it to run vtec and diff fuel maps when vtec kicks in. Anyone have anything to correct if I'm wrong?

You have to re-wire the distributor plugs with OBD-1 Plugs "the grey ones, I had schematics somewhere for it, you will probably need obd-1 intejectors, I suggest just getting a full Z6 intake manifold, get a P28 and an OBd-1 Conversion harness for the ecu. Look on ebay for some of the item's and then go to a junkyard and cut the dizzy plugs off a obd1 car.

Go here. I don't know about the dizzy, but this will take care of the ECU for you.

You can not use a OBD0 ecu and a OBD1 distributer. The pickup wheels have difrent numbers of teeth between the two generation. I would recomnd trying to transplant the parts between the two if possable or do an OBD1 convrsion.

lord...the easiest way to get around all of this crap would be to use a y8 head and then the stock distributor would work fine. id get a y8 manifold as well. the y8 heads also increase compression slightly.
