Default crx dx w/ zc crank sensor help!!!!

ok i just put in a zc motor in a friends dx crx. the only code its throwing is the 4 short flashes, which is the crank angle sensor. i already tried crossing the 2 wires over, reseting the ecu both times. i also switched out the sensor and put in one that i know was good. the problem is that when you step on the gas, it bogs reving up and it wont let me past 4,000 rpms. and input would be greatly appreciated

which distributor and ecu are you using? I've seen some zc comes w/ a distributor w/ only 2 sensor on them and doesn't have the third sensor...most mpfi ecus need 3 sensor on them...

count the wires on the distributor...make sure there are 2 plugs..one plug has 2 wires, one black/yellow and other blue...the 2nd plug should have 6-7 wires(i forget of the top of my head)...3 sensors that have 2 wires each and one white wire....

you need to get a 88-89 teg distributor...there might be a way to rig up that sensor so that you can fool the ecu. I wouldn't though, i would rather get a 88-89 teg disitributor...to be honest i am also not entirly sure if this is the correct fix...i would more say i am 50% sure...
