civic turbo problems

civic turbo problems
just boosted my 93 civic ex 6-8psi but my check engine lights comes on it , the code is "map sensor voltage to high " what does that mean ... heres another stupid question what is a missing link ...

I am not sure about this but, a missing link is something that hooks up to your map sensor I believe to allow you to run boost without getting any problems with the computer. Because a stock computer has trouble reading boost, it will always give you a CEL. If you don't have a chipped computer to run boost then thats your problem i'm guessing.

The missing link vents off the boost pressure before it gets to the map sensor. Its just a clean looking check valve. They just trick the computer to overlook boost. the map sensor is a resistor and the higher the pressure you place on it the higher the voltage it puts out.
