Angry Carb Problem

well lets see i got a 355 miled built sbc in my truck and i had a 750 on it...duell feed well i swiched the duell feed boles onto a 650 for gass milage and the 750 was over kill.... well now im geting a hess if i nail the gass it will die.... only in gear ... but if i eas it then nail it it dus fine.. could the accelarater pump be set to tight or what else could couse this ... its on a holley

If the 750 is too much, put a 650 on. Don't mix and match...

well, if it's a 'bog' when you nail it, then it's probably too much fuel. what you can do is try to replicate it and allow it to stall, get out and pull a plug. if it's wet as hell, then you have your answer. btw: is this a manual or autotragic trans? you can also play a bit with timing and a bit more ignition, but i think it sounds like you're a bit over-carbed.

how can i go down 2 a 650 and be over carbed i took the 750 off ... my motor took every bit the 750 could through at it it was just 2 much gass money ....
