first off, a friend of mine is buying a '90 Civic 4-Dr. can someone tell me how much one of those weighs

secondly, it has a stock SOHC VTEC motor (D16...i think) can someone tell me how much hp they put out....

i know that car can't be fast...im just curious of this info. so i can pass it on...thanks

 

d16 puts out 125 hp

 

a 90 civic 4 door did not have vtec...vtec was not available in the U.S. untill 95 so if it's vtec then it's swaped. but im not sure how much they weigh.

If you can find some information on this guys 88-91 4 door civic you will find that this statement is wrong.

Thank you.......I've been arguing with pplz about that since 2000 when my girl bought her EX......Its a fucking workhorse with potential.....what SOHC do you know that accelerates and has that much umph too it ? Im a Nissan guy and the only one I can think of is the KA24E and im not too sure about that......lol SOHC VTEC is no more useless than B18a just cause its not popular dont mean its not possible.........

the motor was swapped in but its stock...no exhaust not even a cai...125hp in a 4-door...bone stock...how can it be fast

 

just putting on a Cia and exhaust doesnt make your car fast

i wasn't saying puttin an exhaust on and a CAI makes your car fast...im just sayin thats how stock it is...cuz thats mostly what people do first...to me even w/ a CAI and an exhaust a car is still stock...why is everyone jumping on my shit all i said was a 4 door 1990 honda civic w/ a STOCK STOCK STOCK sohc vtec motor in can't be fast sure you can build an all motor beast out of it but this car is stock
