I have a d16z6 and am thinking about building it. It is currently boosted , vtec is not hooked up, bad mani, . I am not looking to go over 350whp, so i was thinking get a nice build on the sohc inlcuding full bottem end including sleeves, full top end and a nicer turbo set-up with a new trans. I already have my mind set on the tuning side of it but now I need some opinions. I have about a $4500 budget

if i were you id get a cheap block gsr, ls, b20 get it sleeved and build it your self you can find some nice parts on here for cheap and im sure people on here would walk you through on your build your gonna pay an arm and leg if somebody does it for you and youd also get more power out of a dohc motor and im sure your still gonna want to drive your car so id work on the swap and drive my car until my swap was finished

If you're looking to spend that amount of money, why not put it into a better base engine? That's a lot of money to sink into a build for something that really isn't going to give you a lot of power in the end.

ya..... i am going to leave it how it is and sell it, start on a different platform. Car is clean as they come though./
