Broken Bolt help ($$)
I was installing my downpipe today and in the process, I sheared one of the exhaust (on the flange that joins the cat to the cat-back) bolts. The flange is threaded and the stud is sticking out of it.
Cliff Notes:
Broken bolt
Exhaust leak
Willing to pay someone to remove it.
I'll drive to you if you're offering a decent price.

if im reading your problem correctly, your talking about the three studs that are part of the cat that bolt up to the exhaust. if this is correct, i had the same problem putting on my cat back two days ago, all three seized and broke the heads off of every one. (even after i soaked it in PB Blaster for about thirty min. Hate to say it, but i had to drill out every broken stud and replaced with three stainless bolts with lock washers and nuts. Its time consuming, especially if you got a shitty 12v cordless drill that only lasts for about three min. You could always be lazy, and buy a new cat! lol i probably would if i had to do it over again

Its an offroad DP, so there is no cat (not that it matters) but its actually the section after the cat that is threaded. Its the exact same situation you had but with one broken bolt. Im willing to through-bolt the bitch, i just need to get the remaining stud out.
if you are leaving the exhaust on the car then take it to an exhaust shop and have them do it to save you the headache, it should not cost must, i recommend superior automotive, gary. its really a bitch to fix that kind of a problem with no room under the car to work. if you are planning to unbolt it to fix the problem off the car, you could do it yourself with a drill and decent drill bit set.
