I thought B16's were the best for all motor...was told by someone on this board not sure who..but someone told me b16's were the better choice

best for turbo imo, not for n/a you can get soo much more from a b18 motor than b16 in n/a

sit down and figure out how much air you are going to need to get these power levels. then figure out what is going to give you that but not much more. overkill with things like throttle bodies and such can kill an na car. its most important to keep the velocity of the air as high as possible. and remember rpm= runs peoples motors, but thats the way its got to go with a small displacement na.

how do you figure out how much you need? I though the more air the better IE: big TB's port polish bigger intake maanifolds

i cant think of the eqations off the top of my head, but ill find them later. the more air the better is true to an extent. you want to get as much in there as possible, but if you compromise velocity then you will not get that air into the cylinders to make power.

Umm after talking to a some people I think the GSR would be a better choice. I hear guys from spoon and mugen talking about you dont need to replace everything in these engines to make them fast. What do you guys suggest I should do mod other than i/h/e to make this thing do 12's. I have heard head work....such as port and polish and what else?

making the motor bigger and maybe bumping up compression??

having a really light car helps too.
