Default 95 eg coupe steering problem

so before i took my civic into the shop to get a b16a2 swap, i had this slight steering problem or at least it seemed like a steering problem. if i accelerated too hard, the steering wheel would slip to the left to about 10 o' clock. when i let off the gas a bit, it would straighten right back up. and when i would be going around a turn to the right and accelerate through the turn, the same thing would happen and i could feel the wheels turn more sharply as i turned the wheel as if they had slipped a gear, and then when i let off the gas would somehow slip back. dan driskill suggested it could be an axle problem and said not to worry since the swap comes with new axles. and it did come with brand spankin new axles, yet i still have the problem. it actually seems to have gotten better...could be due to LSD, not sure. but i'm concerned its some problem on the steering column, or somethign ridiculuous like that. any insight on this problem would be greatly appreciated. that 500 mile break-in period on my clutch and flywheel is coming up and it would be rather depressing if i couldnt take full advantage of what i spent my money on when that time comes. thanks!
