well its a oil flow restrictor on the block,it limits the amount of oil that is pushed to the head,so you cant check that out without removing the head, you may just have worn out cylinder walls

Tell Calvin to find me a way over there.

I need to do a valve adjustment on it anyways and I'll take a look at it while I'm there.

I think I know whats going on. Who rebuilt it?

Who bored it? What pistons are in it? Who file fitted the rings? Who honed it?

Who went thru the head to make sure everything is ok?

in that case then you probably have some serious issues.

How was the motor ran during break in? Just bone stock ls i assume? Were you using a stock ls computer or a basemap of some kind? If it was running too rich from a possible bad basemap then you could have messed your cylinders up bad.

Also you say theres no blowby coming through the pcv at all? Do a leakdown test. If it comes back good then look towards it being your valve seals.

another possible scenario, did the head have bent valves, if so was the guides replaced if they were cracked, had a talon do the exact same thing, although i never got oil in the cylinder. Oil was leaking on the exhaust valve side. burning it from the heat. Car smoked like crazy. start it and you couldn't see behind the car. Even new valve seals didn't stop it cause the valve could wobble some and the seal would leak. just a thought. could leak oil on either side though intake or exhaust mine was just on the exhaust side so i never got oil into the combustion chamber
