Default 3500 rpm rev limiter.
like the title says, my dohc zc revs up to 3500 rpms and then it sounds like the rev limiter comes in. im thinking it might be the cam sensor but im not sure.

yeah ive unplugged it and waited a while to plug it back up but that didnt help.

check engine light? find out what codes its throwing and that will tell you the problem.

How's your oil?

I know my d16y8 was low on oil and it would rev limit at 3500 rpms.

its called Limp mode. Your ecu is throwing codes read them.

Thats for obd2 cars,low oil pressure causes the ecu to go in a limp mode.
