Default Rev Limiter being gay

Hey guys I need help- on my 94 lude vtec, the rev limiter sometimes kicks in at 6500rpm, even the redline is like 7300. It doesn't always do that though- seems to only do that when engine is cold. When it does do that though, the car is also slower getting up to 6500 rpm. Any suggestions? I dunno if this is related, but I know the fuel relay module was replaced, but I think the replaced one is messed up too cause it rattles when u shake it- prolly replaced with a junkyard part. Could there be any correlation?

vtec engages? dont drive it hard when its cold, let it warm up... the engine has to reach a certain temp before vtec will engage and any engine runs better at an optimal warmer temp. the fuel relay shouldnt "rattle" go ahead a replace that as well. nuthing should rattlle lol...just my 2 cents

Don't rag out your car when it's cold maybe?

Ok it is supposed to do that. All vtec motors will not let vtec engage and drop the rev limit when the engine is cold.
