Well My civic was in a front end accident and now it is repaired the cars speedo jumps like crazy doesnt tell accurate speed at all. It stops when the car isnt moving, but after a while of driving the speedo goes back to normal and works fine?

It acts like a tach with someone reving it.

Post any ideas for me to look for while trying to troubleshoot this.

UPDATE: Now it does it sitting still too. and my milage goes up while it is bouncing.

It's actually on the top, and there is 2 10mm bolts holding it in. Pm me if your looking for someone to replace it.

The speed sensor, can that get fucked up in a collison?

I might need someone who has one to install it, The engine that is in the hatch is a d16y8 in it.

 

check all your grounds make sure all are hooked up.....check the plug on the vss sensor it is on top or your diff more toward the firewall side if not those replace the sensor and see what happens

 

i got the speed sensor for that tranny...brand new let me know

 

I know someone who can test it out for you if you want man. Just get at me & let me know how it looks now.
