sound out puts on player need to go into the audio inputs on radio. not all radios have said inputs, higher end radios should though.

does the monitor have a built in dvd player? if not, get an indash dvd, radio receiver (usually about 80-150 used) and run the monitor and receiver together, its very basic and easy to do. If the monitor has a built in dvd player, the easiest way to run them both to your speakers is to splice them together- i know its not the best idea, but for someone that doesnt know what they are doing, its the easiest.

the dvd player is actually seperate, and its all hooked up and running, but the sound is coming out of the lcd monitor speaker only. it has a red audio cable, so im thinking after buying an aftermarket deck and a Y cable for the audio, i can run it from the audio from the dvd, then one to the lcd and one to aux on the deck...would that work and do they make a Y'd audio cable.
